Once the driver of Germany’s economic miracle, the Rhine-Ruhr region is now socially backward. Despite subsidies, the region is barely managing to gain a foothold. How can the Rhine-Ruhr area and other European metropolises now manage to use its potential to look to a promising, fair and stable future? How could this future be shaped so that no one is left behind? These are the questions that the delegates of the Regional Selection Confernece Mülheim will discuss from 2 to 5 March 2023 in order to work out approaches that guarantee in the Rhine-Ruhr area as well as throughout Europe that our tomorrow begins hand in hand.
